So Bear, my ten year old, and I are on the final pages of The Hobbit and ready to launch into the Trilogy of the Ring over the summer. I have been toying with the idea of doing some art of all my favorite wizards and magicians in literature. Could be fun, but alas, I have lots of other things I want to do as well so maybe a wizard a month or something. Will see.
I have been recovering from a surgery for the past week and sitting in pretty much any position and drawing results in some real discomfort. Its getting better every day and I am hoping that I will sit and draw pain free in another week or so.
Today was mother's day and what my wife wanted more than anything was just time to crochet and relax. Bear and I sat on the patio and enjoyed some quality drawing time. I did take breaks in order to smoke my Eric Nording Freehand pipe with some really good Cult Conspiracy Theory.
Yes I am a pipe smoker so that will probably be apparent from time to time.
As you may, or may not, know I have six kids. One in college, two in high school, two in middle school and one in grade school. For the last 21 years of raising children I have had countless hours and so many fond memories of sitting and drawing or making art projects with my kiddos.
This blog is really more about my version of creative living. I want to keep this post short, as the pain kinda dictates how long I am going to type. In the future I will provide more details and hopefully a LOT of video content.
